INVESTIGATING THE POTENTIAL OF QUANTUM COMPUTING FOR SOLVING COMPLEX SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS
Keywords:
Quantum Computing, Scientific Problem Solving, Quantum Algorithms, Computational ComplexityAbstract
Quantum computing has emerged as a transformative paradigm capable of addressing computational challenges that classical computers find intractable. Its potential to revolutionize fields such as materials science, cryptography, optimization, and drug discovery makes it a subject of intense research interest. This paper investigates the underlying principles of quantum computation and explores its application to solve complex scientific problems. A comparative analysis with classical computing models is presented to highlight the exponential advantage of quantum algorithms. The challenges impeding the widespread realization of quantum computing are discussed alongside future directions. Through graphical analyses and literature review, the paper demonstrates that quantum computing could redefine the landscape of scientific problem-solving in the coming decades.
