Abstract

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened new frontiers in drug discovery, offering innovative approaches to overcome the challenges faced by traditional pharmacological methods. AI algorithms, especially machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL), have demonstrated significant potential in accelerating the identification of drug candidates, optimizing clinical trial design, and predicting drug efficacy and safety. This paper explores the transformative impact of AI on drug discovery processes, with a focus on its applications in target identification, compound screening, and personalized medicine. It also discusses the challenges and future directions of integrating AI technologies in pharmaceutical research.
