The pressing challenge of climate change necessitates global efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Renewable energy technologies (RETs) have emerged as a pivotal solution in this pursuit by replacing traditional fossil fuel-based systems. This article examines the critical role of renewable technologies—solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and bioenergy—in mitigating global carbon emissions. Through empirical data analysis, the paper explores regional adoption trends, technological advancements, and policy frameworks that support renewable deployment. Furthermore, graphical illustrations of emission trends with renewable adoption are provided to underscore the quantitative impact. The findings emphasize that while technological innovation drives significant reductions, challenges such as storage, grid integration, and policy inertia must also be addressed to realize global carbon neutrality goals.
